The Greater Park Circle Film Society continues its semi-annual Lowcountry Indie Shorts event. This is one of the most attended events of the year, showcasing short films from the Southeast. This edition's theme is North vs South, presenting shorts from the Carolinas and Q&A with the filmmakers. Here is the lineup, with trailers:

El Caffinato (12 minutes, Rock Opera)
Directors: Rory Bradley and Liz Levitt-Bradley
A hipster musical Western set in a contemporary coffee shop, El Caffinato tells the story of Milo Beckett, a lovesick loner who must lead the caffeine-buzzed regulars in a musical show down with an old-time foe, Dusky Dan Digby.

Gilded Age Gladiator (12 minutes, Animated Documentary)
Director: Bradley Lambert
Gilded Age Gladiator tells the story of 19th century prizefighter John L. Sullivan, the last heavyweight champion to fight under bare-knuckle rules.

12 (8 minutes, Drama)
Director: Nic Beery
There’s a thin line between love and hate. 12 is a short film about family. This family has a problem, and in the next twelve hours things will change irreversibly.

Wiggle Room (8 minutes, Stop Motion Animation)

Slug vs. Salt, survival of the fittest.

About Time (19 minutes, Drama)
Director: Joseph Megel
A short film about love, loss and letting go. A young man, raised by his father after the death of his mother, finds himself stalled in his life and unable to pursue his dreams of pursuing an acting career. Performing in a play in his hometown, he meets an older actress who acts as a catalyst, changing everything.

One Night in Kernersville (Documentary, 20 minutes)
Director: Rodrigo Dorfman
Musician and band leader John Brown is about to live the dream of his life: to make a big band Jazz recording. Set in the legendary recording studios of Mitch Easter, this short film takes you into the body and soul of what it means to be a Jazz musician today.
